Work Experience:

Before joining DCA in Nepal in 2020, Marco spent 6 years in Jordan, most recently as the Country Director for the International Rescue Committee (IRC), leading the Jordan and Syria refugee response. Prior to that, he was the Regional Director for Eurasia and Middle East for HelpAge International. Previous experiences include roles as Country Director and other senior roles in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, and the Balkan region for leading international NGOs.

Marco has over 17 years of experience in both development and humanitarian contexts, specializing in management of multi-donor, integrated large-scale programmes with direct experience of working with communities, with a strong focus on partnership development and capacity building.

He brings a proven track record of successful high-level negotiations with bilateral and multilateral organizations, as well as with government stakeholders.
