I
have been working in the development sector for more than 25 years in various
positions in the region, out of which more than 10 years has been as Country
Directors for various INGOs.
Apart
from my work for Welthungerhilfe, I have been engaged in larger forums
advocating for civil societies on various issues. Like AIN in Nepal,
Bangladesh has INGO forum and INGO Emergency Steering committee.
I was one of the steering committee members of INGO steering committee for
three years advocating collectively for larger space for INGOs in the
development landscape. I was also the Chair of Market Development Forum
in Bangladesh for three years working with other members in brining the NGOs
and the private sectors on a common platform for public-private partnerships.
I
excel at networking and bringing diverse stakeholders together to achieve
common goals and solutions. I have extensive experience working closely with
and negotiating with government entities and donors, particularly around
issues of localization, shrinking civic space, and government policies. My
professional involvement in Nepal since 2009 has provided me with a deep
understanding of the local people, context, policies, and related challenges.
Thank
you very much for considering me as one of the potential members of the AIN
steering committee.
