28 January, 2015 AIN Chairperson Deepak Raj Sapkota during a meeting between AIN and Social Welfare Council, handed over the AIN Membership Profile 2014 to the Member Secretary Ravindra Kumar. Talks are being held to organize a Development Conference in early April in coordination and collaboration between AIN, SWC and National Planning Commission. The conference is expected to bring together the INGO community, development practitioners, academics, researchers, government officials and policy makers to take stock of the role and contributions of INGOs, to news_identify possible gaps and areas for improvement and to plan strategies that will make the work of INGOs more and better coordinated, transparent, credible and effective, both between themselves as well as with other agencies and the Government of Nepal (GON). The main objectives of the conference is to strengthen inter INGO and INGO-government collaboration, showcase the contributions made by INGOs in Nepal's development and to raise public awareness about the work and results of INGOs, and foster public discourse on INGO effectiveness.
