AIN paid a courtesy visit to FNJ, Federation of Nepali Journalists. Mr. Govinda Acharya, President of FNJ had attended the meeting along with the Vice President Bipul Pokhrel, Treasurer Rajesh Mishra, Secretary Rem B Tamata and few other members. FNJ shared about their programs & strategies and emphasized on the need of building capacity of the journalists for understanding INGO activities & contributions/ unbiased reporting/INGO image etc. AIN shared about their past engagement with media ( development dialogue, media literacy etc) and upcoming strategy in terms of proactive information, media campaign & perception. AIN stressed on the need of building trust and working together as an ally for a common goal i.e. to serve the people. FNJ President appreciated AIN for visiting them and assured to extend a supportive hand towards AIN. He emphasized that FNJ would be happy to engage & collaborate with AIN and further work on strategic involvement in areas of common interest so that it would benefit both. FNJ kindly offered their big meeting halls for future interaction, capacity building trainings and dialogue sessions. AIN shared about their keen interest to have a meaningful development dialogue with FNJ very soon. AIN team was led by Program Coordinator Reshma Shrestha and Prerana Marasini, Comms Co Coordinator along with AIN Communications working group.
